The short version

Keep in Memory stores everything locally on your device only. No data is ever sent to any server. No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Your photos and locations are completely private.

1. Overview

Keep in Memory ("the App") is developed and maintained by Mustafa Kemal Demir, an independent developer. This Privacy Policy describes what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

By using Keep in Memory, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Keep in Memory does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:

  • No account registration is required or possible.
  • No analytics or usage data is collected.
  • No advertising identifiers are used.
  • No crash reports or diagnostic data are sent externally.
  • No third-party SDKs, trackers, or analytics frameworks are included in the App.

3. Device Permissions

The App requests the following permissions from your device:

Camera

Used solely to allow you to take photos of items you wish to track. Photos are saved directly to the App's local storage on your device. They are not uploaded, shared, or processed externally.

Location (When In Use)

Used solely to record the GPS coordinates at the time you save an item. This location data is stored locally on your device alongside the photo. It is never transmitted to any server or third party.

Location data is only accessed when you actively add a new item. The App does not track your location in the background.

4. Local Data Storage

All data created within the App — including photos, item names, and GPS coordinates — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data is:

  • Not backed up to any external server by the App.
  • Not accessible to the developer or any third party.
  • Deleted permanently if you delete the App from your device.

If you have enabled iCloud Backup on your device, Apple's iCloud service may back up the App's local data as part of your device backup. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Keep in Memory does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App collects no data whatsoever, it poses no specific privacy risk to users of any age. However, the App is not specifically directed at children under 13.

6. Third-Party Services

When you tap "Open in Maps," the App passes the saved GPS coordinates to Apple Maps on your device. Apple Maps is a third-party service subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Keep in Memory has no control over how Apple processes this data.

Beyond Apple Maps integration, the App does not communicate with or include any other third-party services.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
